Located at The MARC in Sandton, Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream lures everyone and anyone in to have a taste.

Women in corporate attire carefully consider their options in front of the glass cabinet. The options are endless with flavours like Hot Cross Bun (the flavour of the month) and Birthday Cake (the best seller which was unfortunately sold out – just our luck!). They also have flavours like Madagascan vanilla and honeycomb, rocky road, butter cake and vegan toasted coconut. The quirky shop is not very big and most people come to get a quick ice cream fix while on the move. You can choose a bucket or an ice cream cone – the latter being the better and more authentic ice cream experience. Still, the buckets are probably more practical for indulging on the go. The Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream kitchen also isn’t limited to only these two serving options and various novelty items are assigned to different stores regularly and are always interchanging. Keep your eye out for the Phic Stix, sundaes, waffles and sandwiches.

It is also here where the decision making might get the best of you. Choose between sugar-coated peanuts, marshmallow bits, mini meringues, small Turkish delight cubes and more.

Open since September last year, Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream at The MARC forms part of a niche market in Sandton and according to us, they are definitely the flavour of the month. There’s no sin in having ice cream if it’s from Paul’s.
